About

What is the PTCO? Parent, Teacher, Community Organization.

Our Goal at Willow Woods is to enrich our children's school experience and make each school year the best one yet! We do this by sponsoring various family fun events throughout the school year, providing resources and tools to the faculty that is not normally included in the school budget, and supporting funds for the various and many needs of the school.

As our community at Willow Woods continues to grow, the PTCO is eager to help ease the transition for everyone. Watch for many opportunities for the students and parents to get together.

2023-2024 PTCO Board Members & Duties

President – Beth W.

The President also appoints chairpersons for special committees and coordinates the work of the officers and committees so that the PTCO’s objectives can be met. The President sets up meetings and reserves the room/places for the events that take place.

Vice President – Bobbi H.

Shall act as an aide to the President, and in the absence of the President, he/she shall perform the duties of the President. The Vice President shall also assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Board; coordinate the general activities of any Special Committees created by the Executive Board. This person is ideally willing to serve as President in the future.

Recording Secretary – Kelly W.

Shall keep minutes of all meetings and submit a copy to the President. This person also must keep on file all records and papers, and prepare copies of the minutes of each meeting for distribution to the members at the meeting.

Corresponding Secretary – Kelly W.

Shall conduct all correspondence of the organization and send out all notices via email, social media, flyers sent home, the school marquee, and robo calls/texts.

Treasurer – Kelly T.

Shall receive all moneys of the organization. He/she shall keep an itemized account of all receipts and disbursements and present that data at each meeting, as well the school year’s budget for each event. The treasurer shall make deposits and shall also write checks/use debit card for purchases that have been approved for each event, as well as perform the annual taxes for the organization. Two signatures from the board are required for each check issued, and a signature card of all the board members shall be on file at the bank.

The PTCO works together as a team. Sometimes the responsibilities overlap between the board members. Usually the person who is organizing an event will also put together the flyer for that event and ensure that it gets distributed. We know that a lot of parents work and are not always available for every event. We always try to help each other out.

About Our Meetings

For those of you who have never attended one of our meetings, the door is open to EVERYONE. Parents, guardians, teachers, and the principal attend these meetings. We will meet throughout the school year to discuss upcoming events, budget, teacher requests, principal issues, and parent ideas/concerns.

These meetings are for YOU as well as us. We welcome any new ideas and suggestions. So join us for a meeting and hear what's happening at your school.
