PTCO Meeting, Elections, & Educational Seminar

Please join us for our April PTCO meeting at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria (enter through door #2). We'll have elections for the 2023-2024 PTCO board as well as an educational seminar, Boosting Your Credit Score, presented by Michigan Schools & Government Credit Union. Refreshments will be provided so please RSVP if you plan to attend.

Below is information about the nominations and elections:

NOMINATIONS & ELECTIONS FOR 2023-2024

Elections will be held at the PTCO meeting on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria. 

• I want Willow Woods to be one of the best schools in WCS.
• I want my child to have a great school year - to learn and to have fun!
• I want to help decide how PTCO fundraising money is spent.
• I want all the students at Willow Woods to be successful.

If the above statements are true, then "help us help the school". Parent involvement is critical for a successful school, so volunteer as a PTCO board member or a committee chair for 2023-2024.

Dedicated teachers, staff, and PARENTS help make Willow Woods a great school! Join us – it's rewarding, it's important, it's even fun!

Nominations will be accepted at this meeting. Nominate yourself or someone else. All adults within the attendance area as defined by the Warren Consolidated School system, all parents and guardians of students registered at Willow Woods Elementary School, the teaching staff and the principal are eligible. Individuals nominated must be present to accept or decline the nomination. If a nominee is unable to attend, he or she may appoint a representative to accept or decline on his or her behalf.

ELECTED OFFICERS DUTIES:

President shall preside at all meetings of the organization and of the Executive Board; shall be an honorary

member of any committee; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in the bylaws.

Vice President shall act as an aide to the President, and in the absence of the President, he/she shall perform the

President's duties.

Recording Secretary shall keep minutes of all meetings and submit a copy to the President; keep on file all

records and papers; and prepare copies of the minutes of each meeting for distribution to the membership at the

next meeting.

Corresponding Secretary shall conduct all correspondence of this organization and send out all notices.

Treasurer shall receive all moneys of the organization. He/she shall be bonded. He/she shall keep an itemized

account of all receipts and disbursements and present it at each general meeting. The Treasurer may make

disbursements in the manner most convenient to him/her as long as invoices are signed by another member of the

Executive Board, preferably the President.
